Apple Maps Could Come To Mac OS X

Cody Cooper, a developer, has recently stumbled upon a code dump in Apple Maps application of iOS 6 beta that reveals that Apple Maps may get integrated to the forthcoming Mac OS X  version 10.7.

As most of you know that last month at the occasion of WWDC 2012, Apple released iOS 6 beta to developers with a lot of new features including the new Apple Maps application. Till now it is understood that the next iOS version will not have Google map instead it will use its own maps application.

Cody found some interesting bits in the filealtitude_manifest.xml

Cooper’s new finding of Maps integration with OS X means that Apple will stop offering Google Maps with its desktop operating system by launching its own Maps services. So lets see what comes out of the box when Mac OS X 10.7 Mountain Lion final version will get released this month.
