iOS 7.1 Battery Life Tested [Chart]

iOS 7.1 battery life

ArsTechnica is a famous technology blog and below we are showing an image in which they have produced a chart that reveals how iOS 7.1 affects the battery life of different iOS devices. In order to test the battery drain a Wi-Fi browsing test was done on numerous devices running two operating systems i.e. ios 7.1 and 7.0.6. The first-generation iPad mini is the only one to lose a significant amount of runtime in our test—it gets about 10 percent less life out of a single charge. We’ll be running the test again to verify this particular data and will update this article if we see different results. In the meantime, it’s probably safe to say that unless something is wrong with your hardware, you’ll get about the same battery life out of iOS 7.1 that you got from 7.0. If you have already noticed any considerable difference you can share on this page in comments. Read More

iOS 7.1 Release Expected Any Time

iOS 7.1 Release Date

John Gruber of Daring Fireball’s has reported on his blog that Apple will likely ship iOS 7.1 any day now. Apple’s first iTunes Festival in the U.S. starts a week from today at SXSW in Austin. Apple is going to stream the performances to iOS devices using an app, but I’ve heard from a little birdie that the app requires iOS 7.1 (which explains why the app isn’t out yet). That means iOS 7.1 should ship any day now. We want to keep our jailbreak users aware of the update because while updating to iOS 7.1 they will loose their jailbreaks. We don’t know the future of iOS 7.1 jailbreak therefore we must keep away from updating to 7.1 until we get some authentic news about release date of 7.1 jailbreak. Read More

After the release of 7.0.5 i0n1c the famous jailbreaker has tweeted that 7.0.5 jailbreak is still possible because Apple has not yet patched the volnerability used by evasi0n7. Okay #evasi0n7 still works in iPhone 5s at 7.0.5 The people who have already upgraded to iOS 7.0.5, they would need to wait until evasi0n is updated because a patch to the evasi0n binary will be necessary before jailbreaking 7.0.5. I0n1c has stated “To make evasi0n work with iOS 7.0.5 one way is to patch 11B511 into 11B601 in the binary. Ehmm btw… the patch are not hex bytes but simple ASCII iOS build numbers that need to be fixed.”
