Evasi0n jailbreak is the latest iphone 5 jailbreak that is tested and released by famous jailbreakers with a new team name called evad3rs. The evasi0n iphone 5 jailbreak is compatible with all other devices as well and even we are hoping that it will also be equally applicable to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 which hopefully will be released shortly.

Apparently there are no issues with the evasi0n iPhone 5 jailbreak, initially there were issues with weather app and boot screen freezing but that were rectified in evasi0n 1.3 release. All you need to make sure is that you take backup of your device and if you are willing to upgrade to latest version i.e. 6.1.1 or 6.1.2 you should not do it through OTA option  (on the air) instead download separate ipsw file for your device and upgrade using iTunes (on iTunes when you click update or restore button also press Shift/Option button and it will ask to select ipsw firmware file).

  1. Download evasi0n 1.3 from our jailbreak download page
  2. Extract and run the evasi0.exe file as administrator, if you are admin no need just double click the file to run evasi0n.
  3. Connect your iPhone 5 to computer using lightening cable and the only available button on evasi0n screen will be enabled. Click Jailbreak and relax, let the device be jailbroken untill you will see on evasi0n screen a message like “To continue, please unlock your device and tap the new ‘jailbreak’ icon. Only tap it once! The screen will go black and then return to the home screen” .evasi0n jailbreak untethered
  4. Tap Jailbreak icon on your iPhone 5 screen and again leave it as it is, it will show Evasi0n icon while installing Cydia store and other repositories. Finally you will get message on evasi0n screen that jailbreak is complete, now you can use your jailbroken iPhone 5.

How To Start Cydia On iPhone 5

After the completion of iPhone 5 jailbreak, now you need to use Cydia, tap Cydia icon on your springboard and select the option of User when running first time, Cydia will load some initial data and take some time. When Cydia is ready tap search and type the name of tweak which you need to install. i.e. type KillBackground and when it displays in search result tap it and install it, this is a good tweak that allows you to close all running background apps with one tap.
