Click below tutorial links which I have just updated for 6.0.1, 6.1, 6.1.2 and 6.1.3 and 5.1.1 both tethered and untethered. Since the iOS 6 has been released for developers only at this time, the is called iOS 6 Beta 1. The latest iOS 6.0.1 can be done using the RedSn0w 0.9.15b3, the release name reflects that this is a developer version to  iOS 6 and can be used by a developer only or if you have installed iOS 6 on your device. At the moment you can iOS 6 beta version tethered using the dev 2 version of redsn0w 0.9.13 Dev2.

Update: Evasi0n iOS 6.1.2 Untethered Tutorial is available for jailbreaking all devices running iOS 6.0 to 6.1.2, check our home page for latest evasi0n tutorial for iOS 6.1.2 jailbreak.

Jailbreak iOS 7 Update: iOS 7 Beta 2 is available for developers right now and we are waiting for a good news about new jailbreak tool which should be able to jailbreak 7.0 or 6.1.4 untethered. We shall update our blog as soon as any good news about jailbreak 6.1.4 or ios 7 comes out with download links and of course an easy tutorial.

iOS 6.1.4 / iOS 7 Update

iOS 6.1.4 has been released by Apple which is only available for iPhone 5, if you have already updated to iOS 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 on your iPhone 5 then unfortunately there is no solution available for iOS 6.1.4 on any device. Therefore you must wait until we see the next release of iOS 7 and we hope that the JB team will release some software to jailbreak iOS 7 after its release. Keep connected to this page and subscribe to our blog for updated news on iOS 7 / iOS 6.1.4.

Update: [20-March-2013] If you want to jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 there is only one solution available which is redsn0w 0.9.15b3 and it is compatible for iPhone 4, 3gs and iPod Touch 4g only. For other devices there is no rof for iOS 6.1.3.

Compatible devices with iOS 6, 6.1.2 JB

  • iPod touch 4G
  • iPhone3GS
  • iPhone4 (GSM)
  • iPhone4 (CDMA)

NOTE:

This below guide to jailbreak iOS 6 is no more valid because this was for beta ios 6 version, use above links for latest jailbreak guides.

Step 3: Click “Back” to come to main screen and Click “Jailbreak“. Connect your device to your computer and if the process does not start automatically, turn off your device. Put your device into DFU mode, and the process will begin. RedSn0w will prompt you to select the installation option “Install SSH” and click “Next“. the process will continue until completion.

Step 4: After your device is ready open RedSn0w or go back to main screen and click Extras > Just boot.  Again last step will be required to put your device in DFU mode if asked and the device will boot tethered. After reboot your device will be ready and it is tethered jailbroken on iOS 6 beta version. Remember this iOS 6 jailbreak does not install Cydia. You can follow below steps to get access to iOS 6 Cydia app.

Jailbreak iOS 6 Cydia Installation

Since the above jail break for iOS 6 is for developers and works with iOS 6 beta versions and used for app development so that when iOS 6 is released and jailbroken the jailbreak apps are already available in the Cydia for iOS 6.

Warning: If you are not an experienced developer or understand all the steps very well, never go for it. Any loss of data or malfunction may occur for which we are not responsible. Whatever you are doing it is on your own risk.

You can activate Cydia by SSH, if you are not aware how to SSH better to not go for iOS 6 jailbreak and keep away of it.

To perform SSH into your device, first connect to local WiFi network.

Use SSH username = “root” SSH password = “alpine”(Windows)

Execute the below command via SSH you can copy and paste as well

wget -q -O /tmp/cyinstall.sh http://wyndrepo.googlecode.com/files/cyinstall.sh && chmod 755 /tmp/cyinstall.sh && /tmp/cyinstall.sh

If the command is successful the device will respring, and Cydia will appear on your Home screen.

Open Cydia by tapping the Cydia icon. After preparation of  Filesystem the device will respring and you can use Cydia on iOS 6.

Jail break for iOS 6.1.3

There is currently no untethered jail break for iOS 6.1.3 is available, only one option is available that is only tethered solution for 6.1.3 on iPhone 4, 3gs and iPod Touch 4g. This is only applicable for pre A4 devices and is done by using the redsn0w 0.9.15b3 version. There is no jailbreak for iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5g and iPad 3/2/mini if these devices are running iOS 6.1.3.

Re unlocking deliberately disabled by Evasion: 1. Why can't the team release a separate version outside of USA in order to comply with the new copyright ruling by the Library of Congress? 2. The new prohibition against unlocking applies ONLY to new devices purchased in 2013: all the previous devices are grand-fathered in to the protected class of devices! — … so why can't there be a separate release of Evasion that still specifically supports the existing devices & explicitly excludes the new ones!?? [in America] This self-imposed restriction by Evasion is TOTALLY unnecessary in order to comply with the new regs! I am shocked that the JB community has not been banging on the drums about this mis-step!?! What am I missing here?!?
