In this growing market of smartphones, having a phone with 5 inch display and 1080p resolution and quad core processor along with 2 GB of RAM sounds normal. Even though, it would an amazing device, but it would not be anything different from what others have to offer. Ever since the trend of smartphones has started, two things that have fascinated me after a long time are: one is Google Glasses and the other one is phone with a flexible display.
Google Glasses is still sort of under testing period, yet it has been sold to few people as well. But it yet has to be released officially in the market. However, the device that we have on our other hand is the reality as it will be announced in a month’s time. The rumors have it that Samsung will be presenting its Galaxy Q (GT-B9150) at the MWC, the world’s conference for technology.
The Samsung’s addition to Galaxy series will probably have a flexible and foldable AMOLED HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 8 MP back camera and 2 MP front camera, Android 4.2.1, 1.7 Ghz dual-core Exynos 5250 processor with 2GB of RAM and 3,500 mAh battery.
We have been hearing about this flexible display from Samsung for quite a long now, but we never had the luck of having these publicly available for all. The main reason behind this was the increasing cost of this technology.
However, this time I have my fingers crossed because I really want to experience the feel of having an Android smartphone with flexible display in hand. We all have had heard such rumors before, so how came believe these now? It may or may not be true, but I am really looking forward for such a device. I am excited for this new Galaxy member, but are you? Share your views on this new technology.
That being said, take these rumors with a grain of salt, since we’ve been here before. Around the same time last year, we saw rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S3 featuring a flexible display, and every time Samsung showcases its display tech, rumors of flexible display smartphone come to the forefront.
What are your thoughts? Are you looking forward to owning a smartphone with a flexible display? Do you think the rumors are true? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
